The Indian community, accounting for 1% of our national population, plays a significant role in the fabric of Dublin Mid West. Their involvement is instrumental in fostering a more inclusive and vibrant Ireland," Higgins commented.

"Their influence is evident across important sectors such as healthcare, IT, and engineering. I wish to extend my sincere thanks to those who have settled in Ireland, contributing positively to our economy," Higgins added.

Higgins joined in on the Diwali celebrations in Newcastle on Sunday, 5th November. The event, organised by Rakesh Sokal, highlights the strengthening ties between Irish and Indian communities.

Higgins commented, "In my role as Equality spokesperson for Fine Gael, I see first-hand the value Ireland places on diversity and inclusivity. It's about genuine respect and recognition for every culture within our community."

Residents of Parklands are invited to St. Mark's GAA Club at McGee Park on the 11th of November at 7 in the evening. In a similar vein, Lucan Sarsfield GAA Club also extends a warm invitation to everyone interested in participating in the Diwali festivities, a celebration of light, which will take place on the 12th of November at 6:30 in the evening. The Vedic Hindu Cultural Centre Ireland (VHCCI) is also planning a number of events.
