Kishoge Station Set to Open on August 26th

Kishoge Station is scheduled to open on August 26th, 2024, aligning with the proposed new rail timetable changes by Iarnród Éireann, according to the National Transport Authority (NTA). The new station will serve as a vital link for commuters, with most Heuston and Phoenix Park Tunnel Commuter Services stopping at Kishoge.

Local TD and Minister for Business, Employment and Retail, Emer Higgins, expressed her enthusiasm for the opening of Kishoge station, stating, "I am delighted that today the NTA has informed me they plan to open Kishoge on August 26th. This is a really welcome development for our community and since becoming a TD in 2020, and even before that as a local Councillor, I have been advocating for the completion and opening of Kishoge station."

"The residents of Lucan and the surrounding area have been calling for this station for years. Kishoge is going to be a fantastic addition to our local infrastructure, enhancing connectivity and providing a much-needed service for commuters," Higgins continued.

"Together with Cllrs. Vicki Casserly and Caroline Brady, we've pushed for this opening and as new homes continue to be built in our area, this development will really benefit local residents. It's a great milestone for Dublin Mid West, especially those in Lucan and Clondalkin who have eagerly awaited this addition to our public transport network”.

"I welcome this positive step forward and to seeing the benefits it will bring to our community," Higgins concluded.
