Community Development Grants and Community Events Fund

Deputy Emer Higgins, TD for Dublin Mid West has welcomed the announcement of over €‎25,000 in funding to support 13 local projects in Clondalkin, Citywest, Newcastle, Lucan and Saggart through the Community Development Grant.

Deputy Higgins said: “The Community Development Grants and Community Events Fund is a fantastic initiative to support and reward local communities in our area”.

“I’m delighted at the announcement that €25,615 has been granted to 13 dedicated local groups”.

“These grants will fuel initiatives in Community Development, Community Events, and Sports Development. Each application was assessed by the Community Development Team, focusing on local impact, project delivery, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. This funding is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our community groups, and I'm excited to see the positive changes these grants will bring” added Deputy Higgins.

The local groups that received funding include:

·       Bawnogue Active Retired Men’s Club

·       Castle Park Residents Association Clondalkin

·       Citywest Community Council

·       Clondalkin Camera Club

·       Four Districts Day Care Company Ltd.

·       North Clondalkin Community Choir

·       Retired Active Men's Social (RAMs)

·       Rowlagh Majorettes

·       Clondalkin St Patricks Day Parade

·       Irish Red Cross Lucan

·       ReNewcastle Community Group

·       Rowlagh Parish Community Centre

·       Saggart Village Residents Association

“Well done to all our really deserving local groups. I know the funding will be put to really excellent use,” concluded Deputy Higgins.
